HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College men's basketball team will host a Jimmy V Foundation fundraiser for its February 2 matchup against Wesleyan University this Friday in Oosting Gymnasium. The Bantams will have a table set up at the entrance of game for donations, as well as a 50/50 raffle, and will be giving all donations to the Jimmy V Foundation in an effort to raise awareness and funds to fight all types of cancer.
The V Foundation for Cancer Research is dedicated to declaring victory over cancer. It was founded in 1993 by ESPN and the late Jim Valvano, legendary N.C. State basketball coach and ESPN commentator. Since 1993, the Foundation has awarded more than $200 million in cancer research grants nationwide and awards 100% of direct donations to cancer research and programs.
