HADLEY, Mass. Tufts junior guard Colleen Hart (Needham, Mass.) was named NESCAC Player of the Week for March 8, 2010. Hart averaged 27.0 points per game for the Jumbos during a 1-1 showing over the opening weekend of the NCAA Tournament. She hit 19-of-37 attempts from the floor (.514), went 11-for-17 from beyond the arc (.647), and made 5-of-6 free throw attempts (.833).

Amherst Reaches NCAA Women's Basketball Sectionals with 76-49 Win
AMHERST, Mass. The Amherst College womens basketball team tied a program record for wins in a season Saturday afternoon, while also advancing to the Round of 16 in the 2010 NCAA Tournament with a 76-49 win over the University of Southern Maine. Amherst led 42-19 at the half, and held off any comeback attempts from the Huskies to cruise into the Sectionals next weekend.

Bowdoin Rolls Past Western Conn. St. 65-43 in NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament
BRUNSWICK, Maine After a two year absence, the Bowdoin College womens basketball team is returning to the Sweet Sixteen. The Polar Bears defeated Western Connecticut State University 65-43 on Saturday evening in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament and, after two straight second-round exits on last-second losses, return to the Round of 16 for the first time since the 2006-07 season.

Babson Overcomes Colby in Double-Overtime in NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament
WATERVILLE, Maine - Babson is headed to the NCAA Tournament Sectionals after going two overtimes in taking a 76-73 victory over Colby in a second round game Saturday night at Wadsworth Gymnasium. The Beavers move to 27-3 overall and are one of 16 teams left in the NCAA tourney. Colby finishes the season at 24-5.

Kean Pulls Away from Tufts in NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament
UNION, N.J. - Sophomore guard Brittany Powell scored a career-high 21 points to lift the Kean University women's basketball team to a 75-56 win over Tufts to advance the Cougars to the Sweet Sixteen.The Cougars (28-1) tie the school record for wins in a season, as they extend their school-record winning streak to 28 games. Junior forward Tiffany Patrick scored all 17 of her points in the second half and finished with 11 rebounds for her 13th double-double of the season.
